The Gien Les Vases a Oranger collection is a collaboration between the Palace of Versailles and the Faïencerie de Gien! The theme of this design is the palace gardens which are the absolute masterpiece of the King’s gardener, André Le Nôtre. Faïencerie de Gien has chosen to highlight six bronze orange tree vases, each being unique and constitutes a true treasure of the decorative arts. Each piece of the Gien Les Vases a Oranger collection features a trellis border. Particular care was taken in the design of this motif to highlight the “engraving effect” of the archives. The color palette is a monochromatic scheme of greens and khak bridging the tender freshness of gardens with the bronze patina of the vases, all punctuated by the vibrant pop of orange, giving the collection an effect that is both classic and light.
